Rosen, Nevada Delegation Unveil New Bus Shelter Supported by Federal Funding They Secured

LAS VEGAS, NV – U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) joined Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), U.S. Representatives Dina Titus (D-NV-01) and Susie Lee (D-NV-03), and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) to unveil one of RTC’s new bus shelters. Senator Rosen and her colleagues secured $1.35 million in federal funding to support the construction of more than 100 such shelters across the Las Vegas Valley. The new dual-direction bus shelters feature enhanced lighting and provide more reliable shade throughout the day, improving safety and comfort for passengers.

“I was proud to help deliver more than $1 million for over a hundred new bus shelters across the Las Vegas Valley. This is more than an investment in infrastructure – it’s a project that addresses real community needs and will improve safety, comfort, and accessibility for RTC riders,” said Senator Rosen. “It was a pleasure to join the unveiling today and see firsthand how the enhanced features of these new bus shelters will provide light during the darker winter months and shade during our hot summers. I will always work across the aisle to continue delivering federal resources to support projects like this one.”

Senator Rosen has consistently worked across the aisle to deliver federal funding that supports Nevada infrastructure projects. She was one of the architects of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which provided RTC with $150 million in federal funding to improve roads and transit. This funding included $149 million for RTC’s Maryland Parkway Bus Rapid Transit project and $30 million for various public transit projects across Nevada. As part of a bipartisan funding package for Fiscal Year 2026, Senator Rosen secured more than $49 million for infrastructure and law enforcement projects across Nevada.
